Origins Wine Tasting Experience

It will start with a visit to the Herbal Tea Fields where you will learn more about our territory before Alvarinho, a tradition we are rediscovering. Then we will visit the first continuous vineyard of Alvarinho in Melgaço, the old family garage where Soalheiro started, and our cellar, where you will learn about the various winemaking processes to amplify the diversity the territory provides us with.

We will then go to the terrace, where, with a privileged view over River Minho’s valley, you can clearly understand what makes our territory unique, and we will start the tasting.

We will start with Soalheiro Clássico, an Alvarinho from Monção and Melgaço’s valley; then Granit, which represents Alvarinho planted in high altitude vineyards with granite soils and features a mineral expression of the varietal; then Primeiras Vinhas, an old vines Alvarinho, with a distinct structure; Soalheiro 9%, an Alvarinho with a singular balance between sweetness and acidity; and our Espumante Bruto Alvarinho, the first sparkling wine made from Alvarinho following the traditional method. These wines have distinct profiles, all representing important moments in our story.

You will also have the opportunity to taste The Pur Terroir herbal teas, which reflect the potential of our territory thanks to an innovative process of dehydration at low temperatures, allowing to maintain a high concentration of essential oils: extremely volatile compounds, which provide the infusions with the aroma, taste and properties of each kind. The final selection is carried out carefully, ensuring that all our infusions, both loose leaf and bagged, have more than 90% leaf.
