A wine with a unique history that represents the family viticulture of Alvarinho in Monção and Melgaço, born in a family garage and being today the fruit of many – the Soalheiro family.
The 2024 harvest surprised us with wines of exceptional quality, being one of the most exciting in recent years: the maturation of the grapes was slow and balanced. All of this bodes well for the 2024 harvest with magnificent bottle aging potential.
It was in 1974 that the Cerdeira family planted the First Continuous Alvarinho Vineyard in Melgaço. Primeiras Vinhas was born in this vineyard and the new vintage is a Commemorative Edition to celebrate the 50th Anniversary since the First Vineyard was planted.

Soalheiro Clássico is synonymous with the timeless profile of Alvarinho, with its intense flavour, unique aromatic freshness and an unusual evolution in the bottle. The 2023 vintage stands out for its precision and balanced acidity.
This year we started harvesting Alvarinho on the 23rd of August – in over 40 years, this is the earliest we have ever started harvesting the grape variety we focused on. Each year has specific characteristics and we had to adapt: if the year advances the vineyard, we advance the harvest.
Soalheiro’s wines are born in small plots scattered around Monção and Melgaço. For some years now, Soalheiro has been making several harvests and it is this diversity that brings the balance and consistency that we seek in the winery and that we want for our wines.
Soalheiro Mineral Rosé is the result of the unexpected combination of the Alvarinho and Pinot Noir grape varieties – an unusual, French-inspired blend.
Primeiras Vinhas is a remarkable wine for Soalheiro and for the region: it was born from our first vineyard and has been a driving force for the conservation of old vines in the region.
