We invite you to join us for a unique gastronomic experience at Quinta de Folga, the smokehouse just down the road from our winery. Here, the focus is on the Bísaro pork, which we raise outdoors with ecological breeding. Our region has a longstanding history of using this breed to produce Melgaço’s traditional smokehouse meats. This gastronomic experience begins with a visit to the winery, finishing on our green terrace with a view over the Minho River Valley. Next, you will head to Quinta de Folga, where you will learn about our vineyards, herbal tea gardens, and the long-standing methods of producing traditional Fumeiro (smoked meats) from Melgaço. Your experience will finish with a three-course lunch of typical homemade dishes paired with different expressions of Alvarinho.
Bísaro pork, produced at Quinta de Folga, is the centre of this gastronomic experience. You will taste a variety of starters, all made from Bísaro, as well as a traditional pork steak paired with an exquisite wild rice.
The meal will finish with coffee and homemade dessert. Each course is paired with one of our classic wines. Our Brut Alvarinho sparkling wine was the first sparkling wine made following the traditional method using the Alvarinho varietal. Soalheiro Clássico is a brand icon and an enduring expression of Alvarinho. The Soalheiro 9% is the perfect complement to dessert with its striking balance between sweetness and acidity.
You will also have the opportunity to taste The Pur Terroir herbal teas, which reflects the potential of our territory thanks to an innovative process of dehydration at low temperatures, allowing to maintain a high concentration of essential oils: extremely volatile compounds, which provide the infusions with the aroma, taste and properties of each kind. The final selection is carried out carefully, ensuring that all our infusions, both concerning loose leaf and bagged, have more than 90% leaf.
The lunch menu includes:
- Smoked ham and traditional sausages: dry-cured smoked ham, dry-cured smoked pork sausage, smoked blood sausage, smoked pork sausage and smoked sausage made with pork and bread
- Selection of cured goat cheese from local producer Prados de Melgaço
- Regional Bread
- Bísaro pork ribs and vegetables from our organic vegetable garden
- Soalheiro Espumante Bruto Alvarinho
- Bísaro pork steak with wild rice
- Soalheiro Alvarinho (Clássico)

If you cancel your booking up to 48 hours before the scheduled time, a full refund of the booking amount will be made.
If you cancel your booking between 48 and 24 hours before the scheduled time, a partial refund of 50% of the booking amount will be made.
If you cancel your booking less than 24 hours before your scheduled time, there will be no refund.
