Embrace local culture through our herbal teas
Before Alvarinho and familiar viticulture, subsistence farming was practised in our region. Families had fields and vegetable gardens where they grew aromatic herbs to make herbal teas or for culinary uses. We have recovered this tradition because we believe in the unique potential of our territory for the production of herbal teas, and we have embraced this project, which we are very passionate about. We produce organic herbal teas using an innovative process that, through dehydration at low temperatures, results in herbal teas with a high content of essential oils and, after manual harvesting and selection, guarantees more than 90 per cent leaf content. The Pur Terroir herbal teas won awards at major world competitions such as Les Thés du Monde and Great Taste. On this visit, you’ll get to know our territory better, the whole process from the nursery to the harvest, and then you’ll have the chance to taste The Pur Terroir herbal teas in the territory of origin, harmonised with local products. It will start with a visit to the Herbal Tea Fields where you will learn more about our territory before Alvarinho, about our infusions, a tradition we are rediscovering.
Then you will taste five herbal teas from our The Pur Terroir collection, paired with Melgaço bread, artisanal jam from Quinta de Folga, and locally made honey from Mel do Zé.
The Pur Terroir herbal teas reflects the potential of our territory thanks to an innovative process of dehydration at low temperatures, allowing to maintain a high concentration of essential oils: extremely volatile compounds, which provide the infusions with the aroma, taste and properties of each kind. The final selection is carried out carefully, ensuring that all our infusions, both concerning loose leaf and bagged, have more than 90% leaf.
If you cancel your booking up to 48 hours before the scheduled time, a full refund of the booking amount will be made.
If you cancel your booking between 48 and 24 hours before the scheduled time, a partial refund of 50% of the booking amount will be made.
If you cancel your booking less than 24 hours before your scheduled time, there will be no refund.
