It will start with a visit to the Herbal Tea Fields where you will learn more about our territory before Alvarinho, about our infusions, a tradition we are rediscovering. Then we will visit the first continuous vineyard of Alvarinho in Melgaço, where you will get to know more about our approach to viticulture, the old family garage where Soalheiro started, our cellar, where you will learn about the various winemaking processes to amplify the diversity the territory provides us with, the Sparkling Wines Cellar and the Innovation Cellar, where we push this philosophy to the limit.

We will then go up to the terrace, where, with a privileged view over River Minho’s valley, you can clearly understand what makes our territory unique, and we will then start the tasting.

This Patchwork Wine Tasting Experience will take you on a journey around the unique diversity of Alvarinho in our region. We’ll start with the classic expression of an Alvarinho from the valley, the Soalheiro Clássico; then the Granit, which comes from Alvarinho vineyards planted at altitude in granite soils and thus reveals an evident mineral expression of this grape variety; the Soalheiro Mosto Flor, a wine made from the Alvarinho’s free run juice, the drops that drip from the grapes before the first pressing – an idea that came from our team, which we developed in the Innovation Cellar; the Soalheiro Cota 27, an Alvarinho that is born in the lower altitudes of the Monção and Melgaço valley, in small plots of vines next to the Minho river, where the soils are richer in clay; the Soalheiro Primeiras Vinhas, an Alvarinho from old vines, with a distinctive complexity; Soalheiro Terramatter, which is inspired in the Alvarinhos from the past and has the eyes in the future, an organic Alvarinho that passes through various containers and is bottled without filtration; and Soalheiro Reserva, a complex Alvarinho that ferments and ages in French oak barrels.
