Our "Classico" has the elegance to be a perfect aperitif or to accompany seafood, grilled fish, white meat, aged cheese, smoked meat, as well as dishes from Asian and Mediterranean cuisine.

Soalheiro Alvarinho has a bright lemon-yellow color. This wine stands out for its fresh and elegant aroma, immediately revealing the extraordinary complexity of the Alvarinho grape variety on the nose. The taste of this wine, with intense tropical and mineral notes, is perfectly balanced with its acidity and moderate alcohol content.

Monção and Melgaço, the northernmost region of Portugal, is protected by surrounding mountains that provide ideal conditions for the optimal ripening of the Alvarinho grape variety, including rainfall, temperature, and hours of sunshine. These climatic conditions, occurring during the grape ripening period, are frequently associated with the microclimate of Monção and Melgaço, where warm days alternate with cool nights, thus allowing for a balance between preserving the fresh, fruity aromas of the grape and a vibrant, yet moderate, acidity, just as we prefer for Soalheiro Alvarinho.

The grapes are harvested by hand. After pressing and before fermentation, the must is clarified at a low temperature. The wine ferments in stainless steel tanks and ages in contact with the fine lees before bottling. The vinification of Soalheiro Alvarinho is geared towards obtaining a wine that enhances the quality of the grapes and allows for good evolution after bottling.
